Whole-body energy transfer strategies during football instep kicking: implications for training practices

چکیده

Knowledge of whole-body energy transfer strategies during football instep kicking can help inform empirically grounded training practices. The aim this study was thus to investigate 15 semi-professional players performing kicks for speed and accuracy. Three-dimensional kinematics GRFs (both 1000 Hz) were incorporated into segment power analyses derive transfers between the support leg, torso, pelvis kick leg throughout kick. Energy transferred from (r = 0.62, P 0.013) torso 0.54, 0.016) tension arc formation cocking redistributed downswing 0.76, < 0.001) associated with faster foot velocities at ball contact. This highlights function kicking. Of particular importance were: (a) regulating absorption, (b) eccentric concentric release a ‘tension arc’ hip, (c) coordinated proximal distal sequencing leg. Resistance exercises that replicate demands these interactions may develop more powerful motions varying task and/or environmental constraints might facilitate development adaptable strategies.

Assessment of whole-body occupational radiation exposures in nuclear medicine practices of Bangladesh during 2010-2014

Introduction: Occupational exposure to ionizing radiation due to medical activities (both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures) has increased sharply in recent years. Among the occupationally exposed workers in these fields, those most affected by this increased exposure to ionizing radiation are nuclear medicine workers. In this study, annual average effective dose, annual collective effectiv...

Impact phase kinematics of instep kicking in soccer.

The purpose of this study was to capture the lower limb kinematics before during and after ball impact of soccer kicking by examining the influence of both sampling rate and smoothing procedures. Nine male soccer players performed maximal instep kicks and the three-dimensional leg movements were captured at 1000 Hz. Angular and linear velocities and accelerations were determined using four diff...

Static vs. Dynamic Acute Stretching Effect on Quadriceps Muscle Activity during Soccer Instep Kicking

The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of static and dynamic stretching on quadriceps muscle activation during maximal soccer instep kicking. The kicking motion of twelve male college soccer players (body height: 174.66 ± 5.01 cm; body mass: 72.83 ± 4.83 kg; age: 18.83 ± 0.75 years) was captured using six synchronized high-speed infra-red cameras whilst electromyography (EMG) sign...

Vibration exposure and biodynamic responses during whole-body vibration training.

PURPOSE Excessive, chronic whole-body vibration (WBV) has a number of negative side effects on the human body, including disorders of the skeletal, digestive, reproductive, visual, and vestibular systems. Whole-body vibration training (WBVT) is intentional exposure to WBV to increase leg muscle strength, bone mineral density, health-related quality of life, and decrease back pain. The purpose o...
